The National Library of Medicine, includes over 15 million citations for biomedical articles back to the 1950's. These citations are from MEDLINE and additional life science journals.

CancerNet: National Cancer Institute - The National Cancer Institute (NCI) is a component of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), one of eight agencies that compose the Public Health Service (PHS) in the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS).

Clinical Trials - Provides regularly updated information about federally and privately supported clinical research in human volunteers. ClinicalTrials.gov gives you information about a trial's purpose, who may participate, locations, and phone numbers for more details.

Food and Drug Administration

Health Finder  - A resource for finding the best government and nonprofit health and human services information on the Internet.  healthfinder® links to carefully selected information and Web sites from over 1,500 health-related organizations.    

Hospital compare - provides you with information on how well the hospitals in your area care for all their adult patients with certain medical conditions. This information will help you compare the quality of care hospitals provide.

National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (NCCAM) is 1 of the 27 institutes and centers that make up the National Institutes of Health (NIH). National Eye Institute - Conducts and supports research that helps prevent and treat eye diseases and other disorders of vision.

National Institutes of Health (NIH) - Part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, is the primary Federal agency for conducting and supporting medical research.

National woman's health Information center - offer comprehensive websites that provide reliable, accurate, commercial-free information on the health of women. They cover more than 800 topics, on issues ranging from adolescent health to reproductive health to healthy aging.

University of Texas Medical Branch - Depending on your needs, there are several options for accessing health information: “Ask Nurse Lucy” is a customized email service that allows you to request specific information about your health care needs. The UTMB eMini Med School is an informative and entertaining way to learn about some of the same things that medical students are studying. You can attend Mini Medical School online right from your home or office. All courses are free. The Health Information Library contains an extensive collection of fact sheets on topics ranging from aging to women’s health.
